Glide Sasquatch Festival

The first ever annual Glide Sasquatch Festival was a hit! The community of Glide was bustling with activity on Saturday July 23rd. The old middle school field was covered in Bounce Houses, Obstacle Courses, Food Trucks, a Stage with Live Music, and a Vendor Village with 40+ vendors. A huge turnout caused many of the food trucks to sell out!

There were cars lined up and down the streets of Glide, with the middle school field covered in local community members, sasquatch believers, foodies, and families looking for some summer fun!

It wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing volunteers from the community… Glide Revitalization is excited to say that Glide Sasquatch Festival 2023 is already in the works!

Youth Outdoor Adventure Club

The Youth Outdoor Adventure Club was a smash hit this summer! The curriculum consisted of a variety of survival skills curated by Steve Smith.

The lessons consisted of: How to sharpen knives, tie square/figure 8/ one handed bowline knots, basic navigation, compass use, basic first aid, fire starting, and how to layer properly for the outdoors.

The class was completely free for the community and at the end of the 5-week summer course the students were awarded survival bags with items that might just save a life in the extreme conditions of the outdoors.

Glide Revitalization is very excited to see the program continue and grow over the next few years!

Family Movie Nights

Over the summer on Every 2nd and 4th Thursday Night, Glide Revitalization hosted free movies, outdoors, for the community of Glide.

A plethora of family friendly movies were shown and a concession stand was nearby for any hungry patrons of the event.

Family Movie Night’s are a program that Glide Revitalization hopes will grow and continue far into the future of Glide!
