Long Term Wildfire Recovery in Glide
Advocacy and Assistance for Archie Creek Fire Survivors
If you’re a survivor of the Archie Creek fire and have found yourself exhausted by the process of rebuilding and emotionally drained from the long waiting periods before you can receive assistance, we’re here to help.
Glide Revitalization serves as the sponsoring organization for the county’s Long Term Recovery Group (LTRG), which was formed in response to the recovery efforts following the Archie Creek Fire. Recognizing the need for coordinated support, FEMA officially designated this group as the LTRG for all of Douglas County.
The Douglas Long Term Recovery Group is committed to supporting individuals and communities recovering from disasters and building resilience for the future. Our services can support you with things like damage assessments and home rebuilding, water well replacement, fire fuels mitigation, and property reforestation post-wildfire.
We’ll be your guide through:
- Claims and Insurance: Navigating insurance claims, FEMA applications, and appeals to ensure individuals receive the support they need.
- Finding State and Local Resources: Identifying what’s available, facilitating records recovery, and connecting individuals with organizations to address unmet needs.
- Clean Up and Rebuilding: Providing guidance on rebuilding options and assisting with the clean-up process to restore affected areas.
- Mental and Emotional Support: Offering multi-denominational spiritual support and access to emotional and mental health resources for those affected by disasters.
